I am a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Columbia Business School where I teach Managerial Negotiations. I completed my Ph.D. from the Psychology Department at Stanford University.

I study obstacles to effectively communicating across divides. By “divides,” I mean differences in status, identity and ideology as well as everyday disagreements that often make conversations feel risky or difficult. I am passionate about identifying ways to improve these everyday interactions in an increasingly interconnected and polarized society. I accomplish this by deploying longitudinal field experiments and by collaborating with interdisciplinary scholars and organizational partners.

My work has been published in top academic journals including Psychological Science, Science Advances, and the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General.
